Giving Thanks!

This was our second Thanksgiving with Leah and Evan. The morning started off with Greg taking the kids (all bundled up in their jammies, coats, hats and blankets) for a walk around the neighborhood to kill some time. Leah ended up falling asleep in the wagon and slept for about another half hour after they got back. Evan slept for maybe a half hour or so and would have continued to sleep, however Leah decided she wanted to wake him up by throwing open their bedroom door and going over to his crib laughing and poking him through the slats of the crib. To say he was unhappy about being woken up is an understatement. He continued to be upset for a lot of the afternoon. Our first dinner was at Greg's parents house. Before dinner was ready, we played outside in the backyard with Wrangler, Greg's sister Sarah's dog. The kids loved watching the dog play in the leaves and chase after a ball. As we all sat down to the table to eat, the kids started to play with some toys, but decided they wanted to join us for the food (which they had already eaten ahead of time...I love that they are done with baby food!). Evan was still tired and was winding down quickly. After about a half hour of screaming and crying, he finally fell asleep in my arms in the guest bedroom and Leah enjoyed all the attention and food! We knew as soon as we got Leah in the car and headed off to my parents house, she would fall asleep...and she did within minutes of driving. They seemed to get a second wind over at my parents house. Of course, they also were ready for seconds (really, I guess thirds) of food. So, they ate off of Nana and Papa's plate, enjoying every bite! They also had their first Wii experience, with the help of Papa. The kids both took turns helping Papa knock out a player in a boxing game. Too funny!

Within 5 minutes of the car ride home, they were both out for the count and did well sleeping through the night.
It was so nice to see family over the Holiday. Hopefully next year we can sit back and enjoy it a little more!

Alicia,
Very cute pictures!
I was hoping to see you guys while we were in town. There is never enough time for everything. Hopefully, we can hook up over Christmas Break :)
