PICKLES

My parents were over tonight to help me with the kids (Evan, Leah and I have had stuffy/runny noses and have been sick the last couple of days). We got some Bread Co. and brought it back to the house. Leah immediately went for my dad's pickle. He went ahead and let her try it (the kids have both tried a pickle before, but I can't remember what they thought of it). Her first reaction was to stick her tongue out in disgust. Her second time trying the pickle, she took a longer lick and then the third time, she took a bite of it. In between these attempts, she would take the pickle and try feeding it to my dad. It was so cute.
Evan, as you can see from the picture, didn't like the pickle and refused to try it a second time.

My future's so bright....

I GOTTA WEAR SHADES! (That's Thomas the Tank Engine Shades!)

I bought these sunglasses last year for Evan when we were going to the zoo. He didn't really like them then. However, within the last month or so, he has enjoyed wearing them around the house. He only keeps them on for a short time. He looks so gosh darn cute in them! All he needs is some white socks, a white collared dress shirt and a microphone to complete the Risky Buisness look.

Another shoe lover

My friend Jen let us borrow her daughters shoes for Leah to wear on Easter. As soon as I brought them home and Leah saw them on the floor, she had to try them on. At first I think she wasn't too sure of them. This would be her first shoe with a "heel" on them. After telling Leah, "But you look so pretty in them..." Evan decided he wanted to "look so pretty in them" as well. So, he tried them on. The kids each had a shoe on and walked around with one dress shoe on and the other barefoot. Too funny.

I LOVE SHOES

Leah is already showing us how much she loves shoes! At this point in time, it doesn't even matter if they are Daddy's. Everyday Leah tries on any shoes she can find. The closet is usually the first place she heads to when she is in our bedroom. She especially likes to try on my slippers. My high heels are where I draw the line. Maybe in a year or so, we will have to get the plastic high heels with the frills on them for dress-up. In the meantime, this is keeping Greg and I entertained. Most of the time, she does a pretty good job of walking in the shoes.
(Since this makes me think of a teenage Leah wanting to buy all kinds of shoes, it reminds me of a new movie out "Confessions of a Shopaholic," which has a character by the name of - ALICIA BILLINGTON! Too weird huh?)
