Well, it really wasn't the WORST of nights, but it definitely wasn't fun. Leah woke up around 2:45 am whimpering, so I went in after a couple of minutes and tried to soothe her. Of course, she scooped up her blankets and pacifier and pointed to the rocker. So, I went ahead and rocked her for about 10 minutes and put her back down in her bed. She didn't go back to bed so easily as I heard her start to whimper again as I was heading back to my bedroom. It was then silent for about 15 minutes and she started to cry, so I went back in after letting her cry again for a short while and again, she grabbed everything and wanted to be rocked. I gave in and rocked her for about 20 minutes to make sure she was really sleepy. She did go back down, so I went back into my bed. 10 minutes later... you guessed it...she was whimpering again. So, I went in and got her, changed her diaper and was sooooooo tired I ended up bringing her back into our bed to sleep. She slept until 8 am!
Evan had his BEST NIGHT EVER! He slept from 8 pm until 8 am this morning and didn't even wake up crying/whimpering like he usually does. Around 8 am, I heard his Baby Gloworm playing music so I went in to get him and found him playing in his bed. Awesome job Evan!
Side note with Evan and his crib, he is now able to climb up pretty high and almost out of his bed. Yikes! It's only a matter of time before he climbs out. I think we are going to have to go to the toddler bed soon.
They ate a good breakfast and read the paper with daddy this morning. I wish every morning was this good!
