Hair Salon

We had some friends over last night and had a great time. The kids had a great time also playing hair salon. Peyton was such a great sport for letting Evan and Leah "fix" her hair.

Gra...WHAT?!

Evan and Leah like granola bars and I think it's hysterical how Leah says, "Granola." So, I ran and got the camera, making her say it a couple of times.

Just Like Great Grandma June

Last Friday night, I took the kids to a subdivision garage sale and ended up finding a cute little doll highchair for $2.00. The top of the highchair comes off and then you can carry around the doll in the carrier. Later that evening, while in the living room getting ready for bed, Evan took the base of the doll's highchair and proceeded to walk around (shuffling his feet two steps and then a pause, two steps and then a pause) and announced, "I'm just like Grandma June." Greg asked me if I told him to say that; of which I didn't. It was hysterical. Of course, after laughing at Evan, Leah needed to get a laugh as well and walked with the "walker" just like Grandma June. Kids say the darndest things!

Overcoming Obstacles

This past week, we have overcome some obstacles in the Rau household.

Evan has decided that he is no longer afraid to go up to the Easter Bunny and even sat on his lap. Leah still doesn't want to get close and personal, but says, "Maybe next time."

Evan also decided that he finally is not afraid to wear his Monster Towel that Santa gave him for bathtime. (first time putting it on since Christmas). He was pretty funny making "Monster" noises and scaring Mom, Dad and Leah.

Leah has learned to use the pedals while riding a bike. She surprised us all at Greg's parents on Easter. She is very proud of herself; as we are of her!

Easter 2010

It was so much fun watching Evan and Leah hunt for Easter eggs this year.

Evan would find a few and then announce that he was all done. At one point during the egg hunt at my parents' house, he sat his Easter basket down and said, "I'm done" and walked away (even stepping over eggs as he decided he was done). On the other hand, Leah was hysterical in the fact that she kept yelling, "Another one, another one!" She definitely filled her quota. My Mom had to steal eggs out of Leah's basket as she was walking around and drop them back on the ground/rehide them for Evan and my cousin's two kids. No sooner than my Mom would drop one, Leah would turn around and yell, "ANOTHER ONE!" and pick it up again.

The kids received great Easter presents from their grandparents. They got sleeping bags from Nonni and Papa and fishing poles from Grandma and Grandpa. (Thanks again.) We (the Easter Bunny) got them a movie, some placemats and a little potty that flushes with all the necessities for changing a doll's diaper. They are too funny to watch with that. I really enjoyed this Easter and the beautiful weather we had was a bonus. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well!

Crawling through a tunnel

The kids really miss taking the cooking class in Parkway School District, but we are having a pretty good time in our new class-"Gym Time." It's basically just a free time/play for the kids. Here are a couple of pictures.

Fun With Papa

Here are a couple of pictures of the kids with my dad (Papa). My dad is awesome and is going to help finish our basement, so two of the pictures are of Evan and my dad measuring and marking where the walls will be. {Evan loves the fact that his little tape measure "Match, Matches" Papa's tape measure.}

The other picture is a cute one I took of the kids building a choo-choo with Papa. Too funny to watch! What a great sport Papa is!!
